Mr. and Mrs. Pink’s Fabulous Collection
Mr. and Mrs. Pink’s Fabulous Collection is the last show of what has been a successful and satisfying series of exhibitions between Enjoy Project in Wellington, High Street Project in Christchurch and the Blue Oyster. Each gallery arranged and curated an exhibition that they felt best represented what was important to them, their history and contribution to the regions and communities they (we!) serve. When HSP took their exhibition to Enjoy Wellington the show was extremely well received, so much so that Steve Mori of the Mori Gallery, Sydney, toured the exhibition to Sydney and proceeded to sell a large chunk of it. Mr. and Mrs. Pink is a similar show in a salon style, packed to the rafters with the pride of Canterbury. Below is the press release that HSP sent us MR & MRS PINK'S FABULOUS COLLECTION at the Blue Oyster Gallery of Dunedin 17th February - 6th March Having haunted the emerging art scene of Christchurch for the better part of a year, the Pinks have developed quite an impressive collection of young contemporary art emerging out of Christchurch. Regulars at any HSP opening, the Pinks have developed quite the profile as astute and informed collectors eager to put their money where their mouth is. So, in such a short time, the Pinks have both lofted their own social standing and that of the collected artists. Not a commercial gallery, but supportive and appreciative of the Pinks interest and art world largesse, HSP decided to help the Pinks show off their collection. So, on show in Dunedin will be a sample of their vast collection comprising of the latest and best work of Christchurch's HSP affiliated artists.Mr. and Mrs. Pink’s Fabulous Collection
