Resuscitate and Hannah Riley | Still Occupants. With strong
macabre overtones Straka and Riley explore the seductive and
sometimes humorous possibilities of the abject. The
exhibitions will open on Tuesday 6 October at 5:30pm and
will close on Halloween.

TENTH ANNIVERSARY | 8 Sep - 3 Oct 09
Dunedin's only dedicated experimental art project space is
turning 10! In celebration of a decade of continuous
busyness the Blue Oyster Art Project Space is launching a
reflective exhibition and publication on Tuesday 8 September
2009. But, to get the festivities started we are throwing a
10th Anniversary Party (themed in the traditional
anniversary material - tin), on Friday 4 September.

The Blue Oyster Gallery is pleased to present Instructional
Models; a propositional exhibition instigated by Terri Bird
and Julie Davies, in association with the artist-run
initiatives Ocular Lab and Clubsproject Inc. in Melbourne,
and facilitated by Neil Emmerson Head of Print Studio at the
Otago Polytechnic School of Art.

The Blue Oyster Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition
They paved paradise, put up a parking lot by Australian
artist Sylvia Schwenk. The exhibition is a performance,
photographic and installation based body of work showing off
the latest footwear and fashion needed for global warming. A
performance of Boots for Rising Waters, will see women
modelling gumboots with black stilt-like fixtures on their
base, on the opening night of the exhibition; Tuesday 24
March at 5.30pm. The exhibition runs from Tues 24 March to
Sat 18 April at the Blue Oyster Gallery 24b Moray Pl,
Dunedin - Free Entry.

The Grad Show | 24 Feb - 21 Mar
The Blue Oyster Gallery is thrilled to present our annual
'Grad Show', featuring a sample of innovative and intriguing
art works by the 2008 graduates of the Otago Polytechnic
School of Art. Eight artists have been selected to present
works from their final assessment exhibition, and many have
been inspired to create new pieces especially for this show.
